Day 1- London Gatwick to Dubrovnik
I live really close to Heathrow airport so was slightly miffed when we had to fly from Gatwick and pay parking there however it was easy as pie! Turns out Gwtick was only 40 mins away so not bad at all however Heathrow as an airport is so much nicer. Slightly biased having worked there before.
Checked in with Monarch which was a breeze and took less than 5 minutes from queuing to bag drop and we walked our sleepy bums up to departures, through security and had a nosy around WDF. Bought a lovely statement necklace from Accessorize which you will see shortly on one if my OOTD posts I’m sure! Boarded the plan and wish id booked extra legroom as being 6ft ain’t easy in economy! Slept the whole way and woke up in Dubrovnik where the sun was shining and I knew it was going to be a good week.
We were met by a luxury car holding a sign with my partners name on it which is always a nice feeling just being picked up. It only took 15 mins and we were at our hotel and checking in. We are staying in a place called Cavtat which is about 40 minute boat ride from Dubrovnik and we are in a 5 star hotel called ‘Hotel Croatia‘ which is situated on a big hill with gorgeous views of the town and sea below. If I could pick again, I’d pick a sea view room as we are in a park view room which is basically looking out to some trees- so if you’re staying here, upgrade if you can! The hotel is beautiful though and has amazing facilities. There’s a decent size indoor and outdoor pool, a gym, a spa and lots of decking where you can sunbathe next to the sea. This side of Croatia isn’t beachy but it’s lovely as you can just hop of your sun lounger and take a dip!
We spent the day by the pool with a nice lunch and then had a walk around Cavtat in the evening after dinner. This place is beautiful and so peaceful! Some pics below for you to see! Excited to explore and will keep you updated!
Dress from Boohoo Tall and was super lush and silky which is perfect for this kind of heat!
