Quotes to live by 🙌🏻
So I often search for quotes on google images and these searches are normally when I’m feeling strong emotions of some sort. It could be anger after an argument, motivational quotes on a Monday morning or something to tell me to challenge myself. So yeah, mood dependent. My normal routines goes like this…
- Search for a good strong quote
- Find said quote and post it on social media
- Think about said quote for approx 5 mins
- Forget said quote and go back to feeling how I originally did!
At least I’m honest, hey! This week I received some very difficult news that I’ve had to try and digest and get my head around. It’s not something I want to blog about but it’s something that made me feel range of emotions but mainly heartache. I naturally picked up my phone, headed for google images and then realised I didn’t need to. I knew the quote that would tell me what to feel because I already felt it. It’s a quote I’ve lived by for such a long time now and I often think about it.
‘What if I fall? Oh but darling, what if you fly?’ – Erin Hansen
That quote is my quote to live by. Almost every day I come across something to worry about whether it be the tiniest worry or something much more significant and this quote does it all for me. First of all, if you’re worried about something failing, how will you know unless you try? It also gets me thinking about if you do fail and in most instances, failing isn’t that bad and things always get better!
I took the quote and a photo of me in Australia where I was on top of the world and I found that actually putting yourself into the quote makes it so powerful! To have those words surrounding me at a time where I felt my strongest has done me the world of good.
Do any of you have a favourite quote or one you like to live by?
Let me know as I love them!
